The Eclipse Crossover represents an enticing blend of style and substance for drivers from New Haven and Fairfield, CT. Beyond its striking exterior design, the Eclipse Cross displays sporty performance and a first class cabin that's jam-packed with safety and connectivity features.

Step inside the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and it feels like you're sitting in a luxury crossover. It presents refined styling, first class comfort and a suite of user-friendly tech features that are designed to satisfy your daily driving demands. With a wealth of passenger and cargo space, the Eclipse Cross is the perfect driving environment for every occasion.

Let the Eclipse Crossover serve as your mobile office with a centrally-located touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. An easy-to-use touchpad controller makes it easy for you to adjust settings, make a call or put on your favorite song. You'll also have access to features like a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and head-up display that projects real-time traffic and performance data onto an LCD display.

It might be a crossover, but the Eclipse Cross is engineered to perform more like a sport sedan. That's achieved with a direct-injection turbocharged engine that generates exhilarating power for merging and passing on highways. With an optional CVT, the Eclipse Cross also assures seamless gear shifts, excellent fuel efficiency and a silky smooth ride quality in all driving conditions!

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross Trim Levels

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is available in four trim levels that are as unique as you are.

The ES serves as the base-level Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross trim. Regardless of the model, however, the SUV is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 152 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. It is hooked up to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), which eschews the traditional gear-shifting mechanism for a smoother and more fuel-efficient operation.

With the compact engine and smooth-operating CVT, fuel economy is above average, peaking at an EPA-estimated 26 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway with the standard front-wheel-drive system. You can opt for an all-wheel-drive system, which sends power to all four wheels to optimize traction.

A five-seater, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross ES provides two fabric-trimmed rows, with a 60/40 split-folding design on the rear seats to expand cargo room when needed. For entertainment, the SUV comes with a four-speaker AM/FM stereo system with HD Radio technology and a seven-inch display. Bluetooth® is also on board for hands-free calling and audio streaming, and a USB port provides a connection for playing media from your smartphone or any other compatible mobile device.

Seven airbags-a knee airbag for the driver, two frontal impact airbags facing the driver and front passenger, two side impact airbags installed on the front seats, and two side curtain airbags on the roof-provided restraint and cushioning when needed during a collision. The airbags are joined by:

  • Rearview camera for safely backing out of somewhere
  • Hill start assist for safe driving up a hill when shifting from a parked position
  • Four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes for exceptional brake performance and stopping power
  • Electronic stability control and traction control to keep you on the intended path of travel

For security, Mitsubishi combines remote keyless entry and engine immobilization for an anti-theft system.

The LE trim level significantly elevates the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. Most of the enhancements appear on the infotainment system. The seven-inch display has touch ability, and you can execute functions on the touchpad controller instead of solely relying on the touchscreen.

Added on the stereo head unit are voice recognition control, Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® smartphone integration, three months of SiriusXM Radio, and 24 months of Mitsubishi Connect suite of Safeguard and Remote services that include SOS emergency assistance, roadside assistance, stolen vehicle assistance and locator, and remote lock/unlock ability. In addition, there's a second USB port for charging mobile devices, and heated front seats.

It's also at the LE trim level where Mitsubishi introduces driver-assistance technologies. Such features consist of:

  • Blind-Spot Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Automatic High Beams
  • Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection
  • Lane Departure Warning

At the SE trim level, remote keyless entry is upgraded to proximity keyless entry with push-button engine start. That means you don't need to press the key fob to unlock the doors; all you need is to have the key fob in your possession. Plus, you no longer need an ignition key to start the engine; you simply press the push button at the lower right side of the color multi-information display. All seats have their fabric material upgraded, automatic climate controls are extended to the front passenger, and two speakers are added for a six-speaker setup.

As the top-level trim, the luxury-oriented SEL is the only Eclipse Cross model with leather upholstery, eight-way power adjustability on the driver's seat, a 360-degree camera, and a head-up display.
