2018 Outlander is new and improved

Just like the 2017 model, the 2018 Outlander comes with four trim levels to choose from ES, SE, SEL and GT. The ES comes with 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, dual-zone climate control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, rear privacy glass. The infotainment system comes with a 6.1-inch screen, voice controls, 6-speaker sound system, Bluetooth connectivity and USB ports for charging your devices.

In the SE, you upgrade to heated front seats, a larger 7-inch touchscreen, upgraded sound system, keyless entry and ignition, satellite radio and fog lights. The SEL comes with leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, power adjustable driver's seat and there is also automatic headlights and wipers. The GT has more than just a bigger engine. It comes with steering wheel mounted shift paddles and additional chrome accents.

Technology

Every Outlander comes with an infotainment system with a 6.5 or 7-inch touchscreen, a USB port, and Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. With the Smartphone Line Display, you can access apps or stream radio or song playlists from your phone over Bluetooth. There are many safety and security features including Rearview camera, traction control stability control, airbags, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, a 360-degree camera and forward collision mitigation.

Design

The new look of the 2018 Outlander is more aggressive than previous years with new fenders and bumpers. Inside there is a lot of headroom and legroom in the front the middle rows. The seats are well-contoured and offer good support whether you are on a long trip or running a short errand. You will enjoy the 10.3 cubic-feet of space behind the seats, and total cargo capacity with the last two rows folded is an impressive is 63.3 cubic-feet.
